My Bee has been sitting
in
pieces for 17 tears while I raised my family. I took her all apart
stripped her paint inside and out and have partially reassembled her
etched,
alodined and primed the inside of the hull and all tail surfaces and
have reassembled
those pieces. I have also done the same for the gear and gear actuating
system.
She’s got a low time (Continental) IO-470 P and 1 & ½
propellers There
she sits, in my basement and my buddies shop for the last
seventeen
years. Now the kids are grown and I am hoping to get her finished.

BIRD & TIM LAARMAN 320 East Buffalo Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53202 t57bird@msn.com Tom purchased his Seabee in 1993 and flew the restored Bee for the first time in August 2000. He was assisted, in the restoration, by his cousin Tim Laarman, a partner in Guntly Aircraft Repair. He has flown it about 25 hours and had only one"wheels up" landing. | BRUCE
Sr. and BRUCE Jr. BISHOP N11213 Stone Road Tomahawk WI 54487 blpabish@yahoo.com The
Bishops have recently purchased Seabee N6208K, S/N 408. It has
not
flown since the sixties and may have spent much of its life at Bob
Mill’s Seaplane Museum in Philadelphia. If anyone has information
on N208K’s history before 1992 please contact Bruce Jr. Their plan is
to ship it to the Philippines for restoration.
Bruce Sr., a private pilot, funded his son’s flying lessons in the early seventies. After all the ratings, the US Marines, the Army Reserve flying choppers, night freight, and commuters, Bruce Jr. is now flying 737s for Continental Air Micronesia out of Guam. Being based in Guam will allow Bruce Jr. to monitor and facilitate the Philippines restoration. Hopefully in a few years they will have a nice machine to enjoy up in Wisconsin at Bruce Sr.’s summer home on Half Moon Lake near Tomahawk.

Interesting note from a previous owner: "Hello,
my name is Michael Wierzbicki.
I have some info for Bruce Bishop SR and JR. The plane they own is N6208k ser.# 408. It belonged to my grandfather. I sent them both an email, however the have not responded. I feel in this day of spam and pop ups they might accidentally looked over the message. I was hoping that ya'll might try to get in contact with them to let them know my intentions are to try to get them some background on the plane. I know I have at least one picture of it in canada, and will try to get more of them from my mother who lives out of state. Thank you in advance." | BRIGID
BLASCHAK 5662 Lancewood Drive Port Orange, Florida 32127 brigidblas@yahoo.com This Seabee was fully restored by Bob
Redner of Cass Lake, Michigan and was featured in Sport Aviation
Magazine in 1987. Unfortunately, a great deal of Bob's fine work was
undone by a wheels on the water landing in 2000. Taking pity upon
the poor beast, I purchased it and began the very slow process of
restoring it. It's coming along nicely and should be
complete for Sun-n-Fun '06 in Lakeland, FL.
